Ancient Tools, Modern Solutions

Ayurveda, the world’s oldest known system of medicine, provides yet another view into the patient’s state of health and offers effective, powerful solutions to chronic problems. Literally translated as “the science of life,” Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India and is more than 5,000 years old. Like acupuncture, Ayurveda is recognized by the World Health Organization for its effectiveness in treating chronic health problems.

After suffering from tendonitis for several months, I was having difficulty driving, practicing yoga and even holding a book to read. I was considering surgery until I began to see Dr. Mitchell, who massaged my arm and recommended herbal supplements and homeopathy. I’ve experienced slow consistent improvement in my elbow and avoided surgery. I also feel more calm overall and my sleep is much improved. Dr. Mitchell’s encouragement of life changes and herbs has given me the patience and perseverance to stay on a non-surgical path. While treating the original problem with the elbow, he has quietly but consistently impacted other parts of my life in a positive way.

«I had been suffering with pain and decreased range of motion in my neck for two and one-half years before meeting Dr. Mitchell. Driving a car and checking in the rear view mirrors, and routine activities involving turning my head — even hugging people — had become increasingly difficult. As Dr. Mitchell began working with me, my pain immediately decreased.

After only ten laser treatments and chiropractic adjustments, he ended my neck pain and markedly increased my neck mobility. An unexpected side effect was improved balance, which enhanced my running and biking performances. I have now graduated from bi-weekly adjustments and laser treatments to a once monthly maintenance regimen. It is absolutely wonderful being pain-free and enjoying my active lifestyle. I have had such positive experiences in Dr. Mitchell’s practice that I have asked him to treat another condition of mine. Already, after three treatments, I am seeing phenomenal progress.”

I don’t know where I’d be without Vaidya Naram and Dr. Tom Mitchell. I used to work out two hours a day, seven days a week, but in 2015 I started experiencing debilitating adrenal fatigue. I could hardly get through the day and would be exhausted by the time I reached the top of the stairs. I was also having chronic digestive problems and brain fog. The MDs I was seeing would tell me that my tests were normal, but I knew what I was experiencing was anything but normal.

When I went to the pulse clinic, Vaidya Naram took my pulse and then told me a list of my symptoms although she knew nothing about me. She was spot on! Then she and Dr. Mitchell gave me an action plan that included Ayurvedic supplements and some dietary changes. I left the consult feeling hopeful that I could get better, and I’ve continued to receive great support from Dr. Mitchell. Today I’ve begun improving, and I feel confident I’m on the right track toward renewed health.
